Founded in 1917 as a street corner news stand in Florence, Alabama, Books-A-Million has grown to become the premier book retailer in the Southeastern United States, and the second largest in the nation. Based in Birmingham, Alabama, they currently operate more than 260 stores in 32 states.
The Books-A-Million Web site was launched in 1998. Like their stores, the site is open, inviting, and focused on the product.
Since the launch, they’ve continued to enhance design and product offerings, editorial content, and customer service attributes.

Besides the extensive selection available, one of my favorite things about Books-A-Million is their special categories. For example, the “Faithpoint” category features the best references and writings for the Christian market. Also, select stores feature the “Joe Muggs Cafe“, a full line coffee and espresso bar offering a wide selection of gourmet coffees, teas, desserts and brewing supplies.
