Nakoma Art Traditions & Crafts has been around since 1960. Registered with the State of Minnesota, Nakoma & Kati Volkman have traveled the event and lecture circuit for decades promoting authentic Native American fine art. You won’t find any cheap copies from China here. This is the real deal.

Nakoma honors his Chippewa-Cree heritage and Lakota Sioux upbringing with beautiful drawings that reflect nature and ancient Native American values. Spirituality in verse is expressed with expert penmanship in mediums of pencil, pen and ink, and pastel chalks. His works have great detail and the verses profound. Educational and historical perspectives are also prevalent in Nakoma’s art.

Kati contributes her expert crafting skills to Nakoma Art Traditions & Crafts, hand-crafting a variety of expressive pieces that captures the spirit of the Native American. Jewelry, leatherwork, dreamcatchers and more, reflect the gifts of a skilled and talented artistry.
