I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
IFA, Praying for America
Intercessors for America (IFA) has been praying for our nation for over 50 years. Founded in 1973, this group of Christian believers has dedicated time, effort, and money to the primary objective of mobilizing God’s army of prayer warriors to intercede on behalf of our government and its leaders.
With no allegiance to political parties or lobbying interests, IFA seeks only to glorify God, to stand firm on the Founding Principles of the USA, to exercise religious freedom, to speak truth into our culture, to call for godly government, and to offer hope to all citizens.

This organization truly Inspires Me with the work they are doing.
It should be clear to anyone familiar with Eye of the Beholder that faith is a core tenet of what is shared on this medium.
I suspect that if you are reading this then you agree that the USA is in dire need of prayer.
Born in the 1960s, I have observed a slow decline in Christian values throughout our society in my lifetime, and it has never been so foul as in the past decade or so. So, I ask you, I implore you, will you join me in prayer? Will you lift your voice to God and ask for His blessing and renewal upon this land?

A prayer for the USA …
Father God, in the name of Jesus, we come before you in sadness for our nation. So many have forgotten you, and many more do not even know you. Our nation is lost, wandering with a broken moral compass in the shadows of self-interest, greed, and corruption.
You told us in 2 Chronicles 7:14 that you will hear us from heaven, forgive our sins, and heal our land if we humble ourselves and pray. So, hear us God, right here, right now, as we ask for your spirit to move powerfully across the United States America, and the entire world. Revive us, renew us, inspire us, fill us with your light and hope. Let every darkness be overcome by the light of your righteousness. Let every evil be washed away by the Blood of the Lamb. Bathe us in your glory, producing a mighty harvest of souls for your Kingdom.
Return us to the values of One Nation Under God, In God We Trust, and “E Pluribus Unum”. Unite us under the banner of freedom that our ancestors sacrificed so much for. More importantly, let us be united by You, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Having paid the ultimate price on calvary, let us be bound by your grace and mercy, fully redeemed, and reclaimed.
For those who harden their hearts against you, we pray for swift justice. We cry out for the corrupt to be exposed, charged, convicted, and incarcerated. We want severe consequences for all those who seek to destroy us, yet still, we ask for patience because of what you have told us in 2 Peter 3:9, that you are not willing even one should perish.
So, dear Father, Thy Will Be Done. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
