Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love.
Real Men. What does that mean? That is for you to decide, because meaning exists in the Eye of the Beholder. But make no mistake, this article about Real Men is anchored in the Christian faith.
For me, being a real man means I am acting like the man God made me to be. That looks very different from one man to the next, because God has a specific purpose for each of us. His will for you is unique to you and your life journey. However, we can find some common characteristics. There is a consistent set of behaviors for godly men that sets us apart from the world’s definition of what it means to be a man.
Although this article is written for men, I believe that women will find some valuable insight here. Please read-on and access the resources provided as you form your own opinion about what a real man is.
Pastor Mark Driscoll’s teachings on this topic are well-known and often controversial.

I discovered Pastor Mark through My Virtual Mentor (MVM). As a member of David Robertson’s MVM circle, I joined Dave and a small group of Christian men in 2023 seeking wisdom and guidance on how to be a real man for God. Pastor Mark’s program formed a basis for our studies.
Titled, Act Like a Man: Real Men 101, the 9-part series provides a Biblical roadmap for men looking for insight on the subject. Pastor Mark holds nothing back, delivering his fiery brand of spiritual conviction against a modern-day culture seeking to eliminate all forms of traditional masculinity and manhood.
His loud and proud assertion of Bible-based man-facts has drawn the ire of many, earning him Big Tech censorship, social media bans, and editorial hit pieces. He has even been heavily scrutinized for his brash style by various Christian leaders.

I finished the Real Men 101 program inspired and convicted. With newfound motivation to live the best life I can, I want to honor God, my wife, my family, my career, and my community, by acting like a man for God. I want to encourage every man to watch Pastor Mark’s program and then share it with another who should hear it.
